Overview of the Simple Polymer Clay Sunflower Project
Welcome! I am so glad you are here!
About the Course
In this course, you will learn how to create simple sunflowers using polymer clay. These sunflowers can be used as decorations, jewelry, or gifts and are perfect for summer. You will be guided through the process of creating components, adding details, and baking the final product.
There are a few things you should know before starting this course:
- How to condition polymer clay - this is not covered. You can search on Youtube for a ton of resources!
- How to make a skinner blend (if desired). If you do not know how to make a skinner blend, please find Donna Kato's tutorial here.
- Familiarity with the clay product you plan to use.
- I recommend Sculpey Premo for the right balance of flexibility and firmness, however if you are comfortable with another clay (such as Sculpey Souffle, Fimo, Kato, or Cernit) used for professional or jewelry applications, it should be fine.
By the end of this project, I hope you will have learned a fun new component to add to your polymer clay journey!
